Nusret is the ship of the mine, the hero of these wars, who first came to mind in the wars of the Gallipoli. March 18, Allied Naval Sea Battle of the distributor, to the astonishment of the Commander Allied defeat, the Turkish military morale, the Turkish nation, which is the source of joy is a heroic story with 26 mines that cause a change in the fate of Nusret.
The success of the Nusret Mineship has grown so much that the epic proportions have taken the head corner in men's books. In many sources, Nusret's adventure begins with "the night that connects March 17th to March 18th." This date was not used correctly but it was used to increase the dramatic aspect of the event. Nusret's heroic story begins very early; The Nusret Mine Ship came to the waters of the Bosphorus on September 3, 1914.

redoubt begin bombing in the throat of the Allied fleet (in February 1915) in conjunction with during the period up to March, gathering the world's largest fleet throat in front, determined mine fields of reconnaissance flights, mine exploration and discovery ships were clearing mines enter deep into the throat. The mine lines in front of the Dark Harbor, where Nusret's mines had been cleared, were completely cleared.
After a long period of cleaning work, the Allied Navy will attempt to cross the throat. On top of that, the Commander of the Supreme Court decided to pour the last 26 Mines, which had been offered by a German officer, into the Dark Port, as previously thought.
Selahattin Adil, Chief of Staff of the Supreme Court, who lives in this incident, writes:
"The enemy was obvious to be made within a few days of the final assault. Overlooking the Deniz işler and the audience experienced, cute, docile old, the German admiral Mentor Pasha's offer to compliance, decided the disposal of the remaining spare mine behind and was prepared in about 30 mines Nusrat ship."
Thus Fortress Cevat Pasha also appointed Commander, Captain Hakki Bey in command of the ship Nusret Mayın off the job after less than half of the night of March 7/8. Müstahkem Mevkii Mine Group Command Captain Hafız Nazmi (Akpınar) was in Bey's Nusret Mine Ship.
After less than half the night of March 7/8 Nusret separated from a foggy the Dardanelles extinguished all light, you're throwing sparks because they suppress the stove. Through the mines that have already been poured, they continue to advance towards the dark harbor through the guidance of Nazmi Bey. In parallel with the shoreline, 26 mines are poured in silence at 100 meters intervals and 4.5 meters below the water. The Nusret Mine Ship, once again with the same silence and carefulness when the mission was completed, left behind the signature of 26 Minorities to change the fate of a war.
The following days, new exploratory flights and mine scans were carried out by the Allies. Somehow these 26 surprise mines have managed to hide themselves. The British pilot, who even reported that there were no mines in the Dark Cove, was put to the lead the day after the success of these surprise mines.
Those who lived on March 18th are a real victory in Turkish history. The success of the Nusret Mine Ship in this victory is unquestionable. Winston Churchill in 1930 "Revue de Paris" magazine commented on this event.
"The First World War and so many people die in the war to be attributed to the heavy costs seas 5,000 trade and warship sinking the main reason, taken the night before by the Turks and rocking on a thin steel rope end is 26 pieces of mine."
As you can see, the Nusret Mine Ships and the March 18 Victory have become integrated and transformed into a destan that is remembered with this victory.
Nusret Mine Ship is still in Mersin as of year 2000 and the water is being emptied with the help of foundations and volunteers for not sinking. Maybe it will not be a razor like Yavuz and Midilli, but it needs help to not share this destiny.
