Explanation on the subject of the book:

It is a very different work from the books published on the Battle of Çanakkale until today... With the photographs published for the first time, the events behind the Çanakkale front come to light.

While very bloody battles were fought at the front in Çanakkale, a second war was fought behind the front. It was of great importance for the victory to provide the supplies and ammunition of the soldiers fighting at the front in a timely and sufficient manner. The activity area of the 5th Range Organization, which was established to provide the logistics needs of the army, covered the Thrace region, the Marmara Sea basin and the Western Anatolia regions up to Konya. The 5th Range was sending the supplies and ammunition to the front by using all the possibilities of the period.

The 5th Range Organization not only carried out shipments, but also took on very important duties in terms of the survival of the front, such as evacuation of the sick and injured, establishing hospitals and providing veterinary services, establishing rest and stopping places on the roads and providing services there.
This book, which includes photos from the photo album created to document the activities of 5. Menzil, stands out as a unique resource that reveals the conditions under which the Battle of Çanakkale was fought.
